SHOOT THE BALL FOR A PRIZE osmic Spin is an exciting merchandiser game designed by Echavez Games for Alan-1, which challenges players to launch a ball three times at the color-changing LED holes to win either a 1″ prize capsule, or a more enticing 4″ capsule. At the user’s disposal is a pinball-style shooter rod, which can be pulled back with varied force for launching a ball that will spin around the game chamber. Within that funnel, there are sixteen targets, which will light up according to the phase of the game (1, 2, and 3). A friendly voice over will also help guide players through each phase so they know exactly what to do. The goal is to get the ball into the lit holes, three times in a row, to win the larger 4″ capsules. If there is a miss on phase 2 or 3, then the player will win a smaller 1″ capsule. If the player has already won a small prize, they can continue adding coins to try to chase that elusive large prize. Operators can adjust the difficult of the game, making it either very easy to win(including a Winner Every Time mode), or a true challenge. JET Games USA has done it again, bringing a realistic gun game to market with Giga Shot. Giga Shot is a part of JET’s “Shot” series, which is preceded by Quick Shot, Big Shot, and Mega Shot. What does it do differently? Players still take control of the most realistic gun in the industry, machined out of metal instead of plastic, to give it real weight. Instead of a pistol or a rifle however, Giga Shot uses a shotgun for its control method. There are four player stations as well, making this the first of the “Shot” series to offer that many players at once. On the shotgun controllers, there are machined out of aluminum and come in two types – short and long barrel. One side of the game has the shorter barrels, the other side the longer ones. Use these to blast your targets, where the game features 11 missions, each with several game levels. These include more than just target practice, now featuring missions with dinosaurs, zombies, terrorists, and more. Like with other games however, keep in mind to watch your ammunition, as once you’re out, you need to buy more ammo by swiping a card/inserting coins. Guns also feature force feedback via air compressor and have gun sights built into them.
